Free of all Per & Polyfluorinated Alkyl Substances

PFAS-Free
Packaging

'Per' or 'polyfluorinated alkyl' substances (PFAS) are a group of over 10,000 industrial chemicals, widely used in everything from carpets to cosmetics, cookware, and food packaging, and which are widely linked to major human health and environmental concerns.

PFAS substances are usually associated with certain aqueous coatings and polymers, especially because of their robust barrier properties and they emanate across a range of paper, paperboard, and also moulded fibre products, including bakery and pastry bags, pizza boxes, and compostable plates, bowls, and clamshell containers; posing a risk of coating migration into packaged contents, particularly under heated conditions or when exposed to hot foods & drinks contact.

Delipac paperboard's efficient grease & water barrier has been developed around a Smart-Safe© renewable sustainability framework; providing inspired clean packaging solutions that come with an impressive set of environmental certifications, including verifying the robust plastic-free & PFAS-free barrier, whilst also being recyclable, compostable, & carbon balanced - all in beautiful unison.
